Khulisa Gavan Mbeki Success Story
On February 2017, 3 young men were referred by Evander Court with the case of having had stolen Cell phones at School. The incident happened in the year 2016, the last year of their high school studies .They all completed their Matric, 2 of them were unemployed and did not further their education due to lack of funds and the other one is studying Mechanical Engineering at G.S College in Evander. They all did not have a valid reason why they stole cell phone at the school.
They were enrolled in the Breakthrough adult diversion life-skills Program at Khulisa-Secunda. The 2 young men who were unemployed and did not have a chance to further their studies were hopeless; they saw their future as being with any hope or meaning. They however completed the Breakthrough adult diversion program. They loved attending the sessions as they were gaining a lot of Knowledge from the Program. Their journey with Secunda- Khulisa was so interesting because it resulted in them regaining hope and as well as meaning for their lives. They started to have positive personal goals and lovely vision for their future.
